Don Kannangara, MSc (Data Engineering), BSc, Certificate in Adult Teaching, worked as a programmer and as part of a research team before becoming a lecturer. He has experience of teaching in the UK, Dubai and Nigeria

Allan Fowler, B.Bus. (RMIT University), Grad. Dip. Teaching & Learning (CDU), MBA (RMIT University) MEd (USQ), specialises in game development and design. Before joining Waiariki Allan taught in China for seven years. Allan also has over ten years of industry experience.

Karam Khokra, MSc (Stats And Op Research), BSc (Com Sci), M. Tech (Com Engg), Certificate in Adult Teaching, came to Waiariki from India, bringing with him vast knowledge about networking, data communication and operating systems. His specialties are Network administration / Data communications / Network design and implementation.

Shelly McGowan, BCS (Waiariki Institute of Technology), Certificate in Adult Teaching (Waiariki Institute of Technology), was in Multimedia development before coming to teach at Waiariki, specialises in Robotics and Desktop Computing Skills and is also passionate about Multimedia and Programming.

Momir Radicevic, Postgraduate Diploma (Information Systems), BSc (Honours) in Mathematics, minor Computer Science, originates from Montenegro and brings a European perspective to the BCS teaching team and his students. He specialises in Systems Analysis and Design, Data Modelling, Database Design and Programming.

Naumai Tauroa, Certificate in Adult Teaching , has her own business and works for an iwi based organization managing health contracts.  She has 25 years experience in all aspects of business.  "Communication represents strength and confidence at any level of the organisation.  It ensures accountability, transparency and a pathway for clear understanding".
