The aim of this certificate is to provide students with a solid background in the use of a computer and also a good grounding in communications skills.

Graduates will be able to:
- competently use common desktop applications;
- describe basic computer technologies;
- communicate information using a variety of media; and
- participate as a team member in a computing environment.
